Lake Shore Software
releases its iTunes Server Application for
Crestron Control Systems
Sanford, FL, July 5, 2005----Lake Shore Software & Engineering,
a Central Florida based Software Developer
and Systems Engineering firm, has released
their iTunes Server Application for controlling
the Apples iTunes application running on a
Windows Platform from the Crestron Control
environment.
The firm, CAIP members since 2000, has been
engineering and developing software for large
integrated control systems in Residential,
Commercial and Military markets in the US,
Europe and Asia for over 10 years. Building
these systems results in long travel hours
for Michael Landt, Lake Shore’s Principal
Engineer. “I never leave home without
my iTunes song collection on my iPod” Michael
commented.
Michaels software development background dates
back to the early Apple II days, he is still
an active Apple software developer and his
windows development experience dates back
to the early 90’s. “Recently
our thoughts turned to the challenge of interfacing
the well received iPod and iTunes technology
with Crestron Control system” he added.
The Lake Shores iTunes Server Application allows
users to access their entire library of music,
seamlessly, as if they were using the actual
iTunes application. Complete transport control
and access to Genres, Albums, Artists and
iPods, etc are all available to the user. “With
our Application Server you can integrate
iTunes into your whole house music environment
just like other popular music servers” explains
Michael. “We are experiencing a huge
increase in the demand from our dealers to
interface with the popular iTunes/iPod products”,
says Chris Wildfoerster, Director of Market
Development for Crestron, ”Lake Shores’ application
fills a void the market needs.”
Lake Shore Software & Engineering is owned
by Michael and Barbara Landt, with offices
in Deltona, FL and having just opened new offices
in Sanford, Florida. Barbara, CEO, manages
the office and staff. “My focus is keeping
the team running efficiently and exceeding
our client’s expectations” Barbara
states.
An Apple OS X version is in currently being
tested and versions for other AV Control platforms
are in development, with expected release this
summer.
